- 500g(4 cups) flour shopping list
- 15ml(3tsps) fennel seeds shopping list
- 10g instant yeast shopping list
- 60ml sugar shopping list
- 30g butter shopping list
- 30ml oil shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 150ml lukewarm water shopping list
- 200mllukewarm milk shopping list
How to make it
- cream butter and sugar add oil
- add eggs and fennel and whisk well add water and milk and mix well
- sift in flour and stir in the yeast to form a soft dough
- knead dough well for approx 10 mins until elastic
- leave to rise in warm draft-free area in an oiled dish covered with clingwrap until double in size
- knead risen dough and divide into 6 balls about 3cms high
- place balls next to each other in a round baking tray
- leave to rise again
- brush with melted butter and decorate with poppy/sesame seeds
- bake@180 degrees centigrade for 20-30 mins or until golden brown and hollow sound when tapped
