No one in the house likes mushrooms except me, so I guess I get to eat all of it myself :) - great post!

I just got two lbs of morels and I'm so excited to use them in this recipe for my own personal "Morel fest 2008." I didn't want to use ALL my morels in this recipe, however, so I bought the "gourmet musrhroom mix" of dried mushrooms from Costco for $14.99. It SMELLS delicious, so how can it be bad? I felt it needed a little salt and pepper. Now the challenge is to not eat it all before my guests arrive!

I don't eat bacon but I could see this still being a fabulous dip even without it. I imagine the onion and mushroom would be enough flavour for the cheese.
Think I'll give this one a try today! Thanks for posting. :)
