How to make it

  • In Dutch oven, bring 1 c. water to boil.
  • Add kale; cover and cook for 4 min, stirring occasionally.
  • Uncover and cook until water evaporates, about 3 min.
  • Heat olive oil in heavy skillet over medium heat.
  • Saute garlic and cayenne pepper of 1 min.
  • Add kale.
  • Cook and stir for 3 min.
  • Transfer kale to bowl.
  • Toss with sesame oil.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds.

    I make this in the summer when I can go to my garden and pick it fresh.
    I never used toasted sesame seeds, I will have to try them next time.
    So good for you tasty too.

    The toasted sesame oil and sesame seeds elevates the greens above the mundane. Wonderful side dish, now if I could only get the hubby to tolerate the touch of cayenne. This is lovely.
