Garlic Sesame Kale

- 2 bunches kale, trimmed and chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp. olive oil shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper shopping list
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil shopping list
- 2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted shopping list
How to make it
- In Dutch oven, bring 1 c. water to boil.
- Add kale; cover and cook for 4 min, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover and cook until water evaporates, about 3 min.
- Heat olive oil in heavy skillet over medium heat.
- Saute garlic and cayenne pepper of 1 min.
- Add kale.
- Cook and stir for 3 min.
- Transfer kale to bowl.
- Toss with sesame oil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with sesame seeds.

The toasted sesame oil and sesame seeds elevates the greens above the mundane. Wonderful side dish, now if I could only get the hubby to tolerate the touch of cayenne. This is lovely.

I make this in the summer when I can go to my garden and pick it fresh.
I never used toasted sesame seeds, I will have to try them next time.
