schinken und kase pie ham and cheese pie

a pennsylvania dutch treat
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion-chopped shopping list
- 3 celery stalks-diced shopping list
- 2 Tbs. butter shopping list
- 2 cups ground ham shopping list
- pinch of dry mustard shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. horseradish shopping list
- 1 baked pie shell shopping list
- 2 medium ripe tomatoes-peeled and sliced thin shopping list
- 1 cup of greted cheese-cheddar or swiss-or 1/2 cup of each shopping list
- 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- saute onions and celery till soft , but not browned, in butter
- stir in ham,mustard and horseradish
- put 1/2 meat mixture in the pie shell.add tomatoe slices,cover with 1/2 of the cheese
- put rest of meat mixture on and cover with rest of cheese
- sprinkle bread crumbs evenly over pie
- bake at 350F. for 25 minutes,until cheese is melted and top is browned
