How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 deg. Line a cookie sheet with foil.Spray foil lightly with cooking spray.Cover foiled cookie sheet with crackers in one layer.Boil brown sugar and butter for 3 minutes on stove.Pour over crackers and spread evenly.Bake at 400 deg. for 5 minutes.Remove from oven.Sprinkle with chocolate chips.Let set one minute, then spread with spatula.Sprinkle with nuts, and press down lightly.Cool.Refrigerate, then break up into pieces. Keeps a long time in refrigerator.

    Looks great! Since I can't have nuts, I am going to try this using cut up toffee pieces instead of nuts, and it should be really good this way too. Thanks for the wonderful recipe. I have tasted it years ago.

    I think this one will go on next years "gift recipes" list. It sounds so good, the salty sweet combo. Maybe we'll do it for a Nascar gathering. My husband is a huge Gordon fan too. I myself am a diehard Petty fan although I secretly hope that Gordon takes it cause I know Kyle Petty doesn't stand a chance.
