How to make it

  • Place chicken in crock pot with 4 cups water + 1 Tablespoon salt.
  • Cook on high 2 hours, or until cooked through.
  • Cool, and cut into pieces.
  • Save broth for mix.
  • -
  • Stir together in same crock pot, chicken, cornbread, bread, eggs, onion, salt, pepper, poulty seasoning or sage, chicken broth, and chicken soup.
  • Stir until well blended.
  • Dot with butter or margarine.
  • -
  • Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours in covered crock pot.
  • Remove lid, and fluffwith fork.
  • Let rest 15 minutes before serving.

    Thank you for the comment. I still have yet to try it. I get so busy. And yesterday was a really busy one. The picture I saw was a lot like stuffing however. You could just have added stuffing to it to thicken it, maybe!?!

    Made this today for turkey day. Did a couple of things wrong, so I'll have to make it again before rating it.

    I'm sure it's supposed to turn out like dressing. Mine turned out like corn meal mush.

    Flavor is good.
