Au Gratin Potatoes And Ham In The Crockpot Recipe
This recipe comes from the Wheeler Estate in Balch Springs, Texas. I purchased this collection in 1982. This one is tried and true and very popular in my household. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 6 medium potatoes peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium white onion coarsely chopped
  • 1-1/2 cups cooked ham cubed
  • 1 cup American cheese shredded
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves

Directions
  1. In crock pot layer 1/2 of the potatoes, onion, ham and cheese then repeat layers.
  2. In small bowl combine soup, milk and thyme then pour over top.
  3. Cover and cook on high setting for 3 hours.
  4. Reduce to low setting and cook 3 hours more.

Sounds yummy. I make one similar to this only uses cheese soup and add corn to the mix but I haven't added thyme to the mix yet so I am going to try that the next time I make this up which may be quite soon as cold as it is outside right now. Love my crockpot on cold days heck just plain love my crockpot period LOL
