I'm a pickle freak! Does the flavor of the pickles come out in this, or is it covered by all the bacon? I may have to try this...but I would have to lighten it up a bit...1 pound of bacon? Sounds good, and very different! Thanks dear!

The pickles do come through, although you can always decrease the bacon (I usually cook up a pound or a 12oz package, less what I eat while I'm crumbling it up!) and increase the pickles. The grandkids love it!! Good luck!

Wow, another great meatloaf idea from you - this is great. I love Rouladen and I think the tatse would work really great in a meatloaf. I am bookmarking this one too and I may just have to have a meatloaf week soon and try this AND the Reuben version. Great job - and thank you for giving us such interesting recipes!

I have some baby sweets that have been plugging a hole in the refrigerator space for a long time now. Maybe I just found an outlet for them.
Made some pics for you. Divided the loaf out in two pans and reduced the bake time to 1 hour. Had some good runoff in the double bottomed pans.
