Ingredients

How to make it

  • Rinse and pat dry the chicken legs.
  • Place in a large bowl or leak proof plastic bag.
  • Mix together the garlic, honey, mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, oil, salt and pepper for marinade.
  • Pour the marinade over the chicken and make sure each piece is well coated.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to one day.
  • Preheat the oven to 400.
  • Place the chicken in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • Bake 60 minutes until well browned and cooked through.

    This is a simple recipe with great flavor! I marinated my chicken for a couple hours. I did end up covering it for the last 15 minutes of cooking b/c the skin was getting very crispy & I didn't want it to burn. Though it was dark it was perfectly crisp and didn't taste too charred.     this is fabulous!! i used chicken breast so it was juicy, moist and basically flaked right off the fork. i let it marinade for 90 mins, but will leave it longer next time. the house also smelled wonderful from the ingredients. thank you so much!

    This recipe -- posted 3 years ago -- should be put into the Hall of Fame. I can't tell you how many times I have used it. It is actually on the menu tonight. Thighs work really well, in addition to the drumsticks. It is easy and very, very good.
