Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Place 2 cups of FRITOS® Corn Chips in a baking dish. Arrange all the chopped onion and 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese on the corn chips. Pour the chili over onions and cheese. Top with the remaining cup of corn chips and cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the chili is heated and the cheese has melted.

    We used to call this Texas Straw Hats when I was growing up and yes so yummy! Great comfort food.

    You know, R. I can just see this working LOL! Pepper BELONGS with cheese & onion -- and the chili is a bonus! My kind of snack! TY, once again!!
    BTW, in Scotland you find cheese & onion in everything from 'crisps' (chips over here) to omelets, to sandwiches. Strong cheedar cheese (and their's is on a par with good old Canadian Cheddar!) with onions is a wonderful combination, one that we don't see much over here, sadly!)
