Country Mashed Potatoes

- potatoes (the more the better but at least 6 large ones) shopping list
- water shopping list
- lots of butter shopping list
- milk shopping list
- salt shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and quarter potatoes.
- Rinse well and put into a big pot with plenty of water.
- Bring to a rolling boil and let boil until potatoes can be easily mashed with a fork.
- Drain and put potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
- Put in a big glob of butter and a little milk to begin with.
- Take a potato masher or electric mixer and mash mash mash those taters.
- Taste and if that's not enough butter add some more.
- How much milk depends on what texture you want.
- Add salt to taste as well. :o)

My grandma made mashed taters this way :P it was awesome, the woman could cook up a storm! of course most older women from west virginia can cook anything and do it perfectly, she was one such woman, how I miss her
