How to make it

  • In a heavy Dutch Oven fry down the bacon remove to drain and add the chopped cabbage.
  • Let simmer for about one minute and then add 1 cup of water.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • *(And I added my little personal touch.)
  • Cover and simmer until tender.
  • Before serving stir n the butter and sprinkle with the crunched up bacon peices.
