Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar and salt.
  • Add water, 1 egg white and melted butter; mix well to make a stiff dough.
  • Knead until dough is smooth, about 5 min.
  • Divide dough into 10 balls.
  • Roll each ball on lightly floured surface until paper thin.
  • Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Brush with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 min., until light golden brown.

    a local favorite here uses the lavosh as a cracker bottom, and add all sorts of toppings and then bakes it. It is wonderful. I'm going to try this one.

    I used to be able to buy Lavosh in a pliable round that I used for wrap sandwiches. How do you cook it without it getting hard? I'd love to be able to make those wraps again. :)
