Easy oven stew.Excellent taste

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs stew beef,cubed
  • 2 medium onions,sliced thin
  • 3 stalks celery,sliced
  • 4 medium carrots,sliced
  • 1c. tomato juice
  • 1/3 c. tapioca
  • 1Tbs. sugar
  • 1Tbs. salt
  • 1/4Tsp. pepper
  • 1/2tsp. basil
  • 2or 3 potatoes,cubed in medium pieces

Directions
  1. Combine all but potatoes in a 21/2 Qt. casserole. Cover,bake at 325 for 31/2 hours. Put potatoes in for the last hour. Stir occasionally.
