Monkey Tail Bread

A Monkey Tail is actually made of a frozen banana on a stick that's covered in chocolate and dipped in peanuts, it's usually purchased as a carnival treat.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup shortening shopping list
- 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup mashed banana (about 3 medium) shopping list
- 2 Cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 Cup chopped peanuts shopping list
- 1/2 Cup miniature chocolate chips shopping list
- 2 Tbl ready to spread chocolate frosting shopping list
- 1 tbl peanut butter shopping list
How to make it
- 350 oven
- Grease bottom only of loaf pan (9x5x3)
- Beat shortening and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy
- Beat in eggs and bananas until smooth
- Beat in dry ingredients until just mixed
- Stir in peanuts and chips
- Pour into loaf pan
- Bake 1 hour to an hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
- Cool 1 hour
- Place frosting in a small plastic bag and microwave on high 6 - 10 seconds
- Add peanut butter to bag; gently squeeze bag until chocolate and peanut butter are well blended
- Cut off corner of the bag and drizzle mixture over bread
