How to make it

  • 350 oven
  • Grease bottom only of loaf pan (9x5x3)
  • Beat shortening and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy
  • Beat in eggs and bananas until smooth
  • Beat in dry ingredients until just mixed
  • Stir in peanuts and chips
  • Pour into loaf pan
  • Bake 1 hour to an hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
  • Cool 1 hour
  • Place frosting in a small plastic bag and microwave on high 6 - 10 seconds
  • Add peanut butter to bag; gently squeeze bag until chocolate and peanut butter are well blended
  • Cut off corner of the bag and drizzle mixture over bread
