Cinnamon Shortcakes With Warm Blueberry Sauce

- Shortcake shopping list
- 2 C flour shopping list
- 4 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 Tbl sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 2 Tbl firm butter shopping list
- 2 Tbl shortenign shopping list
- 1 Cup half and half shopping list
- 2 Tbl butter, melted shopping list
- 2 Tsp prepared cinnamonn-sugar ( or make your own) shopping list
- Warm Blueberry Sauce shopping list
- 1/2 C sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbl cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 Cup water shopping list
- 2 Tbl lemon juice shopping list
- 2 Cups fresh blueberries or unsweetend frozen(thawed and drained shopping list
- 1 Qt vanilla ice cream shopping list
How to make it
- 450 oven
- Ungreased cookie sheet
- Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl
- cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives criss-crossed, until crumbly
- Stir in half and half just until moistend
- Drop by rounded 1/4 cupfuls onto cookie sheet
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar
- Bake 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden
- Make Sauce
- Mix sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a 1 1/2 qt saucepan
- Stir in water and lemon juice until smooth
- Stir in 1 Cup of blueberries
- Heat to boiling pver medium heat, stirring constantly
- Boil easily and stir 2 minutes or until thickened
- Stir in remaining bleberries
- Serve warm with with shortcakes and ice cream
