Campbell's Soup takes you back to Nathan's Pier restaurant on Coney Island in New York when these hot dogs topped with spicy sauce and chopped onions went for ten cents each to three for a quarter.

So fun to see this recipe, we were just watching a show on the hot dog on the travel channel. Now the hubbie is hungry for a hot dog. Going to bookmark this one. Great post:o)

I like a good hot dog. Is the soup thick or will the filling for the dogs be loose and juicy?
Will rate when I know the answer. Thanks for sharing - ESPECIALLY a hot dog recipe.

You can actually have it either way you like it by omitting, or adding water :) I usually use the amount of water called for which makes it "loose and juicy" Hope this helps!
