This is very close to the real thing! So good, you will keep it on hand in the Frig to have with fresh baked scones!! Or with hot bread, cakes.. ANYTHING! Old recipe

What a great idea, Shirley! does it keep for a day or two? i will be able to use it on my apple cake *slobber* - will be just right. i never use 'normal' whipped cream for myself because it is to 'sticky' and sweet. this will be just right for me. thank you!

This will be perfect to top my wife's chocolate cream pie and banana cream pies. Thanks for the great post.

Yum! This is better than just plain whipped cream on my scones. Add a little lemon curd and an almond scone and that will = divine!

Mmmmm. Oh Shirley, I love Devonshire cream! My grandfather used to cut large slices of my Grandmother's fresh white bread, slather it with homemade strawberry jam and then pour Devonshire cream over it all! That's what we ate for breakfast when I stayed with them summers! He loved his food! I'm keeping this recipe for sure!!
