How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, combine flour, cheese, sugar and garlic powder. In another bowl, whisk the milk, oil and egg. Stir into dry ingredients until just moistened. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
  • *I never keep self rising flour around. Substitute for each cup of self-rising flour:
  • Place 1-1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt into a measuring cup. Add all purpose flour to measure 1 cup.

    Oh this looks goooooooood! I am a "garlic" lover and when I make this I think I'll add a couple of minced cloves of garlic plus the garlic powder. Woohoo... that should have people standing on their heads lol Thank you for this recipe Frankieann!
