Garlic Cheese Quick Bread
From frankieanne 17 years agoIngredients
- 3 cups self rising flour* shopping list
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (I use canola oil) shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, combine flour, cheese, sugar and garlic powder. In another bowl, whisk the milk, oil and egg. Stir into dry ingredients until just moistened. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
- *I never keep self rising flour around. Substitute for each cup of self-rising flour:
- Place 1-1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt into a measuring cup. Add all purpose flour to measure 1 cup.
