Lemon Bread Recipe

	Chihuahua / All my dishes 1 year, 8 months ago I had this bread at a restaurant a couple of years ago. I never tasted anything like it. It was served with salad and can be served with omelets. From, How Many Potatoes in a Pound? Prep:10m Cook:60m Servings:16	Chihuahua

Ingredients

3/4 C Shortening

2 C Sugar (can be reduced)

2 tsp. Baking Powder

4 Eggs

1 tsp. Salt

1 C Milk

3 C Flour

1 C chopped Walnuts

Grated rind of 2 Lemons

For Glaze:

Juice of 2 Lemons

1 C sugar (can be reduced)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all ingredients.

Pour batter into 2 large loaf pans.

Bake for 1 hour.

Remove pan to rack to cool.

Glaze with juice of 2 lemons mixed with 1 cup sugar.

Keeps 2 to 3 weeks refrigerated.
