This is the best pork stew ever, my kids love it. The beans add so much flavor to this dish. Goes great with hard rolls.

This looks really good, I would suggest
using white(cannelini) beans just to keep that lighter green tint that I am used to in Green Chili. They have about the same consistency and taste as pintos but they are white! Thanks for sharing

I need to give this a chance next week at a work dinner/lunch. I really enjoy a good Green Chili Stew, but have not found a recipe. Have you tried it with fresh Anaheim Chilis?

QUESTION: WHAT IS A CAN OF "CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES"? i TEND TO USE FRESH. MIKE

Made it with slivers of the grocer produce section mild Anaheims. About 1 1/2 veined and seeded. Was great and will probably be better after the weather gets cooler.

I am making this for Halloween dinner and decided to make it in a crock pot. I made a couple modification and added 1 cup of Salsa Verde and left out the beans. It tastes great and my house smells wonderful as it has ben cooking all day. Can't wait to share it with friends this evening. Reminds me of growing up in New Mexico(where we always had an abundance of fresh green chile). THanks for the recipe.

This is close to a classic Mexican Chilaquiles dish. The only thing I would do differently would be to use roasted fresh green chiles instead of canned but I could how the canned would be quicker and easier. Very nice recipe thanks. This will be on my short list to try. Jim

Mmmm the best chili I ever had was green pork chili and I've been looking for a good recipe ever since. This is it! It was for an office chili cookoff and the guy got second because the judges said chili shouldn't be green... They weren't the judges the following year. And his recipe? From a spice pack from a cooking store that went out of business.

This is one of the best Pork green chili recipe I've ever had!!! Fire roasted green chili would be a great way to spruce up this already awesome recipe. I used Anaheim Peppers finely chopped for heat. Add a little when cooking this one and it will be the best chili ever.
