Cheese Crisps Recipe

These are wonderfully crunchy little savory cookies that make a great appetizer. The person who shared the recipe with me used a sharp chedder from Canada - McLaren's Imperial.

Ingredients
- 1/4 C butter - melted
- 1 C Strong Cheese, Grated ( a spreadable brand works BETTER)
- 1 C Sifted Flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t cayenne - optional
- 2 C rice krispies
Directions
- Preheat over to 400.
- Mix butter, cheese, flour, salt and cayenne well. Add rice krispies. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 min.
- This is much easier to do using spreadable cheese. I used grated chedder and it needed to be melted a number of times and I still struggled to get it to mix well. I ended up mixing it with my hands like meatloaf - be careful if you do this, the cheese is HOT.
