Pasta with Spring Vegetables

- 1 lb. asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces shopping list
- 1/2 box bow tie pasta shopping list
- 1/2 lb. sugar snap peas, trimmed shopping list
- 3 tbls. olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- Grated parmesan cheese to garnish shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, add asparagus and cook until crisp tender, about 3 minutes
- Transfer to bowl of ice water with slotted spoon
- Cool and drain asparagus
- Add pasta to same pot of boiling water and cook according to package directions.
- 2 minutes before pasta is done , add snap peas to boiling water
- Add asparagus to heat through
- Drain well
- Return to pot and add olive oil to coat
- Add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- Season with salt and pepper
