How to make it

  • 1. Grind the seeds, nuts & coconut to a fine meal in a food processor.
  • 2. Add the raisins & dates & process to a ball.
  • 3. When pressing the mixture into a 9 1/2 inch, deep dish pie plate, the crust should be about 1/4? thick. Flute the edges & the crust is ready to fill.

My husband is diabetic. He also normally doesn't eat nuts because they get stuck in his teeth. By processing them I can kill two birds with one stone! Thanks

Fantastic idea shirley! So easy, healthy and great for those who cant have sugar. I love my sugar (me bad, sooooo bad lol) but I think I will try this just to see how it would work and taste as a pie crust. Thanks for posting :)
