Radish Tea Or Beer Sandwiches Recipe

Radish Tea Or Beer Sandwiches Recipe
This was listed as a tea sandwich at whatscookingamerica.net, but I had one for a snack last night with a glass of beer! You can also serve these open faced with a sprinkle of salt. My notes are in parentheses.

Ingredients
  • Thinly sliced radishes (I used two large ones for one sandwich)
  • 8 slices best quality white bread (I used wheat)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted, room temperature butter

Directions
  1. Spread one side of each piece of bread lightly with butter.
  2. Top the buttered side of four slices of bread with the sliced radishes. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side down.
  3. Cut the crusts from each sandwich with a sharp knife (feed crusts to birds). Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and then cut in half again. (Yield: four whole sandwiches, eight halves or 16 fourths)

Yummy yummy yummy...
thanks so much!...

just lovely!

These would be good with beer! I love finger sandwiches - thanks for posting!

Every spring my father starts his garden with Radishes. So many they dry up before I get to them. Now I know what to do with them. Plenty of beer in the spring too. This is a great idea! 5 here!
