Ingredients

How to make it

  • Spread one side of each piece of bread lightly with butter.
  • Top the buttered side of four slices of bread with the sliced radishes. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side down.
  • Cut the crusts from each sandwich with a sharp knife (feed crusts to birds). Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and then cut in half again. (Yield: four whole sandwiches, eight halves or 16 fourths)

I love radish sandwiches. Back in my early 20's I had a huge love affair with the Frenchman......(shhhh) Anyway, we would often have an appetizer of radish, unsalted butter, a pinch of sea salt, French bread and a glass of Lillet rouge. So good. Thanks for the memory. (one I won't share with Fred) LOL

Every spring my father starts his garden with Radishes. So many they dry up before I get to them. Now I know what to do with them. Plenty of beer in the spring too. This is a great idea! 5 here!
