Lemon Cream and Truffle Tart

- FOR THE TART shopping list
- 1 pie shell shopping list
- FOR THE FILLING shopping list
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin shopping list
- 1/2 cup cold water shopping list
- 2 8-ounce packages cream cheese shopping list
- 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup lemon juice shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 2 cups thawed frozen whipped topping shopping list
- FOR DECORATION shopping list
- 15 dark chocolate truffles (frozen) shopping list
How to make it
- FOR THE SHELL
- Buy or bake your favorite pie shell (choose one that goes with lemon, plain cookie crumb will be perfect)
- FOR THE FILLING
- 1.Stir the gelatin in water, and microwave for 40 seconds or until the gelatin is dissolved.
- 2.Combine cream cheese and sugar, mix until well blended.
- 3. Gradually add gelatin, milk , juice and peel.
- 4.mix until well blended.
- 5.Beat with electric mixer until smooth.
- 6.Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- 7. Fold egg whites and whipped topping into cream cheese mixture.
- 8.Pour into pie crust. (leaving about 1/2 cup for garnishing with the pipe all around the tart)
- 9.Chill for about 1 hr. or until firm.
- FOR DECORATION
- 1. Freeze 15 dark chocolate truffles 1 day before you prepare the tart, so that you can grate them.
- 2.Grate the truffles and sprinkle all over the tart.
- READY, ENJOY!
