Darlin, Grandma taught you good. Boiled water and a squeezed tea bag is a surefire way to ruin a good jug of tea.
This exactly how I make mine - unless I use room temp tap water and set the tea jug in the sun.

Hey there, this is sort of how I make my "tay". I don't boil the water I just let it get to almost boiling on the stove then pour in a container and then put the tea bags in to steep for at least half an hour but if it stayes in longer that's OK too. LOL

I make my tea similiar but way less sugar. I like sweet, but not overly sweet. I use 3/4 cup to 1 cup per gallon. I love making sun tea. I make my tea that way in the summer. Thanks for posting your recipe.
