How to make it

  • Place garlic, gingerroot, Chile, Cumin Seeds, and Garam Masala in a blender and roughly chop for a few seconds.
  • Heat Oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat, stir in chopped spice mixture and gently warm until fragrant. Add the Onion, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the chopped Chickpeas w/ their juice and simmer for 10 Minutes. Stir in Cilantro and season with Salt & Pepper to taste.
  • If mixture gets too thick, add a little more water.
  • Eat in bites with Naan bread, Pita, or Soft Chapattis. Use as a condiment for a Curry dish or with grilled Merguez Sausage (or Grilled fresh Chorizo)
