Curiosity got the best of me, and I had to see what was going on here. I thought, surely not. I had to read quickly!

So, if I eat this, will it make me smarter? I don't think I would top it with a tomato sauce, though. Mushrooms and butter, or perhaps worcestershire sauce.

That sounds TRULY disgusting. Just sayin'! :p I'd imagine worcestershire sauce WOULD be a good addition, though, if you're really going to eat this.. and garlic? where's the garlic? ;)

I ate pork brains as a child, scambled in eggs but not since I grew up and never again.

My dad used to eat brains... I heard they aren't that bad if they are cooked properly. Not for me though. I can still remember that smell....... One time when I was a kid. I saw them cooking and had to run outside and............... LOL EWWWUUUUUU... That was it for me...

Well...I love them cooked like you do but then egg and breadcrumb and sauteed in just garlic and butter...so it got my 5.

Oh man....my step father used to make these. They stunk up the whole house, and looked like little white gooey volcano's! Needless to say, I never ate them.

Always remember to open a window when cooking brains, or cook em outside !!, a mild creamy curry sauce goes very nicely with the texture of brains, they can be served as part of a grill if sliced, dusted with seasoned flour and pan fried in clarified butter, gives em a bit of texture!.

Orangeskipper, You’re kind of a sick pup...don't get me wrong, I like it but I will have to pass on the brains. Come to think on it truer words have never been spoken. Or at least my wife would agree that I have or have been passed on brains on more then one occasion.

Hi there Orangeskipper! Wow, I thought the "rats" were it and now there are simmered brains LOL I finished dinner not too long ago, did all the dishes, tidied up and thought I'd pay a visit to the group. Well, there was your cute message and curiosity got the better of me. I wondered if you had anymore interesting dishes. I should have known you would ;) This is right up there with the rats and I'm tossing you "5" forks for originality. Either I toss you "5" forks or I'm going to toss my cookies. You take care and I'm curious to see what else you come up with.
Cheers!!!

Yikes!! I would have to be pretty darn hungry to have a go at this one...It reminds me of something my grandmother used to make. She would fill her big stock pot with all the organ meat from a freshly slaughtered pig as well as the pigs head and let it cook until most of the liquid was evaporated...which would leave you with a flavorful!! paste, she would flatten it into a thin patty and dredge it in flour and fry it...I have to admit it smelled great but I could never get past the pigs head floating around in that old stock pot.
