How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Saute the onion in oil until soft.
  • Cut the sausages in half and remove the meat from the casings and crumble. Add to the ground beef in a large mixing bowl. Add the onions, bread crumbs, sun dried tomatoes, and spices. Blend in the eggs and then 2/3 of the marinara sauce. Then the Marsala.
  • Divide the mixture into 2 long oval loaves and place them on an oiled piece of aluminum foil on a cookie sheet.
  • Pour the remaining marinara sauce on top and dust with more oregano, salt and fresh ground black pepper.
  • Bake for 45 minutes to an hour, until the temperature in the center reached 150-160 degrees.
  • Allow to stand for 15 minutes before slicing into thick tranches
  • Serve with hot sauce, creamed horseradish, and ketchup for the kids.
  • Serves 8-10
