How to make it

  • Cut chicken breast into cubes about 1 1/2 inches
  • Peel and quarter onions. separate into layers of about 3 rings
  • Cut bell pepper into pieces about same size as chicken
  • Skewer piece of chicken, onion, bellpepper and repeat about two more times.
  • Heat oil to 350 - 360 degrees
  • Combine all ingredients for batter.
  • Dip skewered chicken, onions, pepppers into batter and fry 3 or 4 minutes, until light golden.

    Jhames69: Don't add potatoes. They will take too long to cook and since these cook fast, they will be raw.

    I made this tonight and it was absolutely delicious! I used 4 chicken cutlets, 1 large onion and 1 large green pepper...I only made 1/2 the batter and I still had plenty of batter leftover. I ended up with 11 skewers. I fried them in a very large skillet, one at a time, for 2 minutes on each side. What was great about this recipe was the fact that the batter hardly soaked up any oil! I'll be making this often! I added my photo!
