How to make it

  • Cut onions in half, then slice them into 1/8-inch thick half-rounds.
  • Heat the and oil in large saute pan on medium heat
  • Add onions, cayenne, salt and pepper and saute for 10 minute
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20
  • minutes, until onions are caramelized
  • Cool
  • Put cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise in mixing bowl and with hand mixer beat until smooth
  • Add onions and mix well
