Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Add garlic, sauté one minute longer.
  • Add mushrooms and sausage and sauté 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes water salt and sugar.
  • Stir.
  • Add noodles, stir and bring mixture to boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer mixture for 7 - 8 minutes.
  • Stir in cream, and basil and cook until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 7-8 more minutes.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheese
  • Place in oven just until cheese melts.
  • Serve immediately.

    I think I'm going to make this tonight - just what I was searching for - something to do with my andouille, and I found it!! I also have onions up the wazoo to use up. (Damn Costco - whole bag of Vidalia sweets for only 5.99) My eyes are still burning from chopping and freezing them. So I might be using more than a 1/2 cup LOL

    Do you mind, for my family's special tastes, if I change the 1/2-cup heavy cream in your wonderful Skillet Spaghetti with Adouille Sausage and Mushrooms Recipe to 3/4-cup jarred pasta sauce. I rated you 4.7 only because of the change I was requesting. It is a definite 5 for everybody else, I am sure. -Susana
