Cookie recipe from about 1900. Possibly earlier. From handwritten record in grandmother's cookbook.
These are easy and addictive--the cakier version of a sugar cookie.

I tested them out plain but it took all my will power not to add some flavoring. Still, they ARE good just the way they are.
