Garden of Eden Pie

One of Grandma Robert's better pies, I remember as the first time I ever liked cream cheese!
Ingredients
- pastry for a 9 inch pie shell shopping list
- 1 cup canned milk (Marathon Florida staple, hurricane essential) shopping list
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice, fresh shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 tsp of mace shopping list
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 cups finely chopped apples shopping list
- 2 cups of ground raisins shopping list
How to make it
- Line pie pan with pastry, fluting edge.
- Mix milk, lemon juice, sugar and spices.
- Add fruit and pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in hot oven (450) for 10 minutes to set crust.
- Then reduce heat to 325 and bake 40 minutes longer or until the filling is set.
- A chunk of cream cheese is good on top of serving of pie.
