Ingredients
  • 4 pounds of short ribs cut Hawaiian style, 3/8" thick (also called Kogi or teriyaki style depending on your butcher)
  • Marinade:
  • 1/2 cup, soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup, sugar
  • 3 tablespoons, sake, rice wine or Sherry
  • 2 tablespoons, toasted sesame oil
  • 8 cloves, garlic - peeled and sliced thin or pressed through a garlic press
  • 4 scallions (green onions) - trimmed and minced
  • 2 tablespoons, sesame seeds - toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon, fresh ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Combine ingredients. Marinate ribs (Hawaiian cut) overnight. BBQ

Well, yes - I do see I was here before...yet I have no recollection of this recipe. Hmmm, maybe I had a head injury whilst here last. Did you notice me laying about here unconscious for several days? ;-)
