Oh wow - this is sooo cool. I was thinking of making a dessert and was trying to remember what cake had cake mix, butter, pineapple and cherry pie filling - because I have those things, plus the coconut and nuts in my supplies. I not only got your invitation but found THE recipe I was thinking of - ha! What a great deal. Thank you so much! Now, I'm going to go put this delicious beauty together.

    Smiles,
    ~Vickie

I prefer pineapple in juice to the heavy syrup; would that work?

I love dump cake. I make it with 2 cans, too, but usually 2 different kinds. Strawberry and apple is my daughters' favorite combination. I bake it for an hour - will have to try doing it for less & see what happens!
