How to make it

  • Mix batter ingredients in a greased deep dish pie plate.
  • Stir together corn syrup,brown sugar, and butter in a small bowl, add pecans and mix well.
  • Combine sugar , cinnamon topping ingredients together in sm. bowl.
  • Top batter with cinn/sugar topping; then spoon caramel/pecan topping evenly over the batter.
  • Bake by placing in a COLD oven; set temp. to 350. Bake 25 mins., until lightly browned and firm in center. Cool slightly and serve warm.

    This sounds so good and so unusual with the yeast in the batter. I am going up to try it right now. I have never baked anything with yeast without kneading and rising so this should be interesting. Thanks for the post.(thanks for the nice comment on my Chicken Penne ,too)

    That sounds so simple to put together, lara - and the combination of flavors is so good! I have printed this out in hopes of making it soon - good Sunday brunch dish, I think.
