Ingredients

How to make it

  • combine the condensed milk, butter, and the lemon juice...stir well
  • gradually stir in the powdered sugar.. mix well
  • add coconut and the almonds... mix well
  • shape into 3/4-inch balls.
  • cover and freeze 4 hours or until firm
  • put candy coating in top of a double boiler... bring water to a boil
  • reduce heat to low.. cook until the coating melts
  • remove from the heat but leave the coating over the water
  • using 2 forks dip frozen candy balls in melted coating
  • allow the excess to drip off
  • cool on wax paper
  • store in the refrigerator
  • ..............................................................
  • to make a nice presentation but the candies in paper candy cups
  • yields 8 dozen

    I just love your recipe! The addition of the lemon juice is a really good idea. WEll, there goes another inch on the old hips as I know I'll be eating quite a few of these! Thank you for your recipe!
