How to make it

  • In a large skillet, brown and break-up ground beef, do not over brown. Drain off fat and discard; set aside.
  • In a 4-quart Dutch over medium heat, melt butter, add onion and bell pepper and saute until tender. Add flour with whisk to make a roux.
  • Slowly add evaporated milk and water while stirring constantly. while it thickens.
  • Add bouillon and seasonings.
  • Simmer on low for 15 minutes, stirring often. do not let burn.
  • Add milk as needed for thickness desired.
  • Add ground beef so sauce, continue to cook for about 1 minute to warm beef.
  • Serve over toast, biscuits, rice or whatever.

    I will be trying this recipe ASAP. It is quick, simple and sounds so tasty, my three main ingredients to any recipe. Love it, you rate 5 cookbooks, 5 stars, 5 kudos, 5 wooden spoons, whatever they award for an outstanding recipe. 5 stars even. Thanks for sharing.
