How to make it

  • Soak the bread in the milk
  • Squeeze the milk from the bread, reserving the milk
  • Excluding the milk and 1 egg, combine all remaining ingredients thoroughly
  • Press this mixture into a 11X7 baking dish
  • Add enough milk to the reserved milk to make 3/4 cup
  • Beat the remaining egg with the milk
  • Pour over the meat mixture
  • Bake uncovered at 350F for 1 hour.
  • It will be done when the top is golden brown and firm to the touch.
