  • Truffle :
  • 4 oz baking chocolate
  • 1/2 C cream
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 C cocoa pwd

  • Cake :
  • 1 C flour
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking pwd
  • 3/4 C cocoa pwd
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 L eggs
  • 1 C boiling water
  • .......................................................
  • Icing :
  • 2 C sugar
  • 120 g butter
  • 4 oz baking pwd
  • 6 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp gin ( optional )
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions
  1. Heat the cream and sugar .
  2. Bring to boil and pour it on chocolate .
  3. Whisk until smooth .
  4. Pour on a dinner plate and spread evenly .
  5. Freeze 15 mins or chill 30 mins until firm to touch .
  6. Roll into 12 balls and and then roll them one by one in cocoa pwd .
  7. Chill

  9. Pre heat oven at 180 deg .
  10. Grease a 9 by 13 inch pan .
  11. Sift the flour , soda and baking powder .
  12. Sift cocoa separately .
  13. Beat eggs and sugar for 2 mins .
  14. Slowly add oil and beat for 1 min .
  15. In slow stream add the waterand beat 45 secs .
  16. In low speed add the dry ing and beat for 1 min .
  17. Then increase the speed to high and beat for 2 mins .
  18. Lower the speed and add cocoa pwd . Now beat for 1 min .
  19. Pour in the pan and bake for 30 mins .
  20. Cool and chill .
  21. ............................
  22. Sift the sugar .
  23. Beat the butter for 5 mins until soft .
  24. Add the melted choc and beat until mixed .
  25. Add the gin , vanilla essence and yogurt and beat for 15 secs .
  26. Add the sugar at one batch and beat until mixed .
  27. Now beat for 1 min .
  28. Set 1/2 C icing aside.
  29. Remaining in a pastry bag with star tip .
  30. .................................................
  31. Cut the sides of the cake to form a 11 1/2 by 7 /2 inch rectangle .
  32. Now cut it lengthwise into 2 .
  33. You will have 2 11 1/2 by 3 3/4 inches cake now .
  34. Pipe 24 stars , 3 width and 8 lengthwise on top of one layer of cake .
  35. The stars must touch each other .
  36. Place the next layer cake on top .
  37. Press gently to hold .
  38. Use the reserved icing and do 12 stars and top of this cake .
  39. ( make stars 2 across width and 6 across the length ) .
  40. Place truffle on top of each star .
  41. Transfer slowly to baking sheet .
  42. Chill 1 hr before cutting
