Pizza Puffs

- For Filling: shopping list
- 8 ounces sausage shopping list
- 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped shopping list
- garlic to taste, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce shopping list
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded shopping list
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated shopping list
- For Puffs: shopping list
- 3/4 cup water shopping list
- 6 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dry italian seasonings shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 3/4 cup of all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup pepperoni, finely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- For Filling:
- Cook sausage until done, crumbling as it cooks;
- Cook chopped onions and garlic with sausage;
- Drain any grease or fat from sausage/onion combo;
- Mix cheeses and pizza sauce with sausage/onion combo and set aside (mixture should be thick).
- For Puffs:
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, oregano, onion powder, and dry mustard; bring to a boil;
- Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously;
- Cook and stir till mixture forms a smooth ball;
- Remove from heat and cool 10 minutes;
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth; stir in pepperoni;
- Drop dough by well-rounded teaspoonfuls (you should get about 24 balls) 2 inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet;
- Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 25 minutes, or till golden and firm;
- Cool, split in half, fill with sausage mixture.
