Basic BBQ Baby-back Ribs on the Grill
From justjakesmom 15 years agoIngredients
- 3 racks pork baby back ribs (or more) shopping list
- spice rub (I like McCormick's cinnamon Chipotle pork rub, but have used my own also) shopping list
- French's mustard (yes, it must be French's) shopping list
- liquid smoke (mixed with water in spray bottle) shopping list
- Barbeque sauce (your choice) shopping list
How to make it
- Remove membrane from back of ribs
- Cut in half each slab
- Squirt mustard on top (meaty side) of each rib
- Rub in and sprinkle generously with spice rub of your choice
- Spray with Liquid Smoke and water mixture
- Cover with plastic wrap and set in fridge anywhere from 2 - 24 hours
- Remove from fridge at least 40 minutes before grilling time to let them become room temp
- Preheat grill to 325 - 350
- Place ribs on indirect heat meaty side up (away from flame /coals, if not using gas grill)
- Close lid and maintain heat around 325/350 for about 1 - 2 hours depending on size of ribs and amount
- Brush with bbq sauce halfway through cooking time (don't turn over)
- Ribs are done when picked up by tongs and they are limber (bend easily)
- Let rest on board for about 3 minutes before slicing into individual ribs
- ENJOY!
