Ingredients

How to make it

  • place the mint and water into a cooking pot
  • bring to a rolling boil.
  • Add the vanilla and incorporate thoroughly
  • (the vanilla relaxes the ‘sting’ of the mint against poor pet’s raw or tender skin)
  • allow to cool
  • add the Johnson’s baby shampoo and stir until soapy bubbles form
  • strain into a dish
  • wash your pet with this
  • try to leave it on your pet for five minutes
  • rinse off gently with tepid water and pat the pet dry
  • Note:
  • This shampoo is safe for both cats and dogs

    Just an added note, Elaine.
I tried this on my poochie, and since then, he has been sleeping like a little baby! No itching and jumping, biting at the damn fleas!
Thanks a million! Great stuff that is :)
I'd give you another five if I could, but since we are only allowed to vote once :(
Oh well -- an honorary five then!

OH!!! Thank you so much for this recipe! Thank you 5 times!!! (I have 5 cats. lol) I am gonna try this one for sure. I hate all those store bought ones...they are usually expensive and they don't work half the time. Besides, they can actually poison your pet if you use them too much. As far as the "appetizer" and "side dish"... maybe you should have labled it desert. After all, its a sweet ending to fleas! lol

My cat has fleas, and luckily she loves the water. So it shouldn't be too hard to give her this bath. Thanks

Our cats won't like the bath, but they'll be minty fresh!

This is great! My pooch has some fleas, and the store-bought stuff seems to do nothing.
    I'm making this up today
