Jerseygirls Sweet Jalapeno Ribs

- 2 cans pinto beans, drained, shopping list
- 3# country style pork ribs, trimmed, shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt, shopping list
- 1/2 tsp pepper, shopping list
- 1 med onion, chopped, shopping list
- 1 (10.5oz) jar red jalapeno jelly, shopping list
- 1 (5oz) bottle steak sauce, shopping list
- 2 jalapenos, chopped(optional), seeded shopping list
How to make it
- Place beans in 4qt slow cooker. Cut ribs apart, sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Place on broiler pan, broil 5 1/2 inches from heat with door partially open for 18-20 min. until well browned - turning once. Add ribs to slow cooker. Sprinkle with onions.
- In saucepan combine jelly, steak sauce and jalapenos (if desired). Cook over low heat until jelly melts. Pour over ribs, gently stir.
- Cover, cook for 5-6 hours on high or 9-10 hours on low. Remove ribs, skim fat off sauce. Cook sauce with beans uncovered on high for 30 minutes more until thickened. Add ribs before serving
