This is a recipe that jerseygirl from AR recommended when I was looking for something to please the man's love of ribs. I want no credit for this recipe as I haven't changed a thing...it is just too good not to share.

Ingredients
  • 2 cans pinto beans, drained,
  • 3# country style pork ribs, trimmed,
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder,
  • 1/2 tsp. salt,
  • 1/2 tsp pepper,
  • 1 med onion, chopped,
  • 1 (10.5oz) jar red jalapeno jelly,
  • 1 (5oz) bottle steak sauce,
  • 2 jalapenos, chopped(optional), seeded

Directions
  1. Place beans in 4qt slow cooker. Cut ribs apart, sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Place on broiler pan, broil 5 1/2 inches from heat with door partially open for 18-20 min. until well browned - turning once. Add ribs to slow cooker. Sprinkle with onions.
  2. In saucepan combine jelly, steak sauce and jalapenos (if desired). Cook over low heat until jelly melts. Pour over ribs, gently stir.
  3. Cover, cook for 5-6 hours on high or 9-10 hours on low. Remove ribs, skim fat off sauce. Cook sauce with beans uncovered on high for 30 minutes more until thickened. Add ribs before serving
