How to make it

  • Oven Temp: 375°
  • Recipe Cooking Time: 10 to 12 minutes
  • Pan Type: cookie sheet
  • Preheat Oven.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the shortening and first amount of sugar, then beat until creamy.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla, honey, flour, baking soda and cinnamon and beat until all dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Roll into honeysnap balls about the size of a walnut.
  • Dip honeysnaps into second amount of sugar and place 2 inches apart onto a pan.
  • Bake your honeysnap cookies until lightly browned.
  • Recipe Yields: 5 dozen
