Raspberry Dumplings

Raspberries and dumplings is a twist for a dessert.
Ingredients
- 3 pints fresh or frozen raspberries shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup water shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- DUMPLINGS shopping list
- 1 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 5 tps. baking powder shopping list
- 5 tps. sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tps. salt shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- 1. In a 6-qt. kettle, combine the raspberries, sugar, water and butter; bring to a boil.
- 2. For dumplings, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. In a large bowl, beat egg and milk; stir in dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- 3. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto boiling berry mixture. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until dumplings test done (do not lift cover while simmering) . Serve warm with half and half or whipped cream.

Thank you for this post... My friends just made it up for a party and it is soooooooooo good! They used the Cheating dumplings as they are teenagers... BUT... that sauce is to die for, and so simple!
