Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook rice as directed and chill.
  • Saute onion and celery in oil for about 5 minutes.
  • Add spinach, sherry and parsley. Saute until sherry has evaporated.
  • Add ham, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce as well as the cooked, chilled rice. Saute until heated through.
  • Serve.
  • Note:
  • I start with the 1/2 tsp of the sauces and then add, if needed, to taste.

Everyone loved this fried rice. We agreed that we would prefer chicken or regular pork rather than the ham but think that is personal tastes. Store was out of suggested brand of pilaf so ended up using Rice-a-Roni brand Pilaf, also used a mixture of regular and green onion to add more color. The spinach added wonderful color to the dish. It looked good, tasted good and was easy to make, will definitely make again.
