So many flavors enhance the beef & it's all in one pan. Very easy recipe with an Oriental flare that your family & guests will love

Ingredients
  • 2 medium carrots - peeled
  • 1 kg thick fresh rice noodles
  • 2 Tblsp peanut oil
  • 750 g lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion - thinly siced
  • 2 cloves garlic - crushed & chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese five spice powder
  • 1/2 cup mild, sweet chili sauce
  • 1 bunch (400g) baby bok choy - chopped
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tblsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 Tblsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

Directions
  1. Using a vegetable peeler, cut carrots into long thin strips
  2. Place noodles in a bowl, cover with warm water, stand 5 mins & then drain.
  3. Heat oil in a wok or large deep pan
  4. Add ground beef, onion, garlic & spice
  5. Stir fry until beef is browned & almost cooked
  6. Add chili sauce & stir fry until mixture is well browned
  7. Add carrots, noodles & the remaining ingredients.
  8. Stir fry until the vegetables are just tender
